01 Do this first
Stop trying to turn it on, and don't charge a water-damaged device. Every power-on attempt on a failing device risks the storage. If it got wet, power running through a corroded board can finish off exactly the data you're trying to save. Leave it off and bring it in.
- Don't keep pressing power or plugging it in repeatedly.
- Don't put a wet device in rice or try to dry it in the sun.
- Don't let a repair shop wipe or restore it before the data is off.
- Do bring it in as soon as you can — for liquid damage, hours matter.
02 What it costs
Data recovery starts at Rp 750,000 (around US$47). The range depends entirely on why the device failed and how far we have to go to reach the storage — reading data from a phone that simply won't boot is a different job from recovering it from a water-damaged board that needs component-level repair first.
We assess first, free, and quote before any paid work. If the data isn't recoverable, we tell you honestly rather than run up a bill on a device that can't give it back.

05 iPhone vs MacBook
iPhones store data on chips soldered to the board, and Apple's encryption ties that data to the device. That means recovery usually depends on getting the board working again rather than simply reading a removable drive — which is why board-level skill matters, and why acting before corrosion spreads is so important.
MacBooks vary: older models have removable SSDs that can often be read directly, while newer Apple silicon Macs solder the storage to the board and encrypt it, making the board's condition critical. 06 What to bring
- The device itself, powered off. Don't keep trying to revive it.
- Its charger or cable if you have them, so we can test safely.
- Your passcode or Mac login — encrypted Apple devices can't be read without it.
- An idea of what matters most — photos, a specific folder, messages — so we prioritise it.

My phone won't turn on — are my photos gone?
Not necessarily. A phone that won't boot often still has intact storage. Bring it in and don't keep trying to power it on.
Can you recover data if I don't know the passcode?
Generally no — Apple devices are encrypted and tied to the passcode or Mac login. We'll need it to reach the data.
It got wet. Should I wait to see if it dries?
